About Mediocrist

Mediocrist LLC is a software company behind projects like FlySpaceA, Whisper Writer, and other open-source tools. We build software that solves real problems — not perfectly, but practically.

Our projects span voice transcription tools, military travel aids, e-commerce platforms, network management utilities, and AI-assisted development workflows. Everything we build is open-source and available on GitHub.

Philosophy

We believe in shipping working software over polishing demos. The name "Mediocrist" reflects this — not a pursuit of mediocrity, but an acknowledgment that done and useful beats perfect and unreleased.

Our technical approach favors simplicity: Laravel for backends, native CSS over frameworks, progressive enhancement, and composable tools that do one thing well.
